About Us
Anne & Darryl Sherman have been farming alpacas since
2001.
Rivergum Rise is now located centrally just west
of Corrigin on 505 acres 175 km east of Perth along the Brookton Highway. We currently stock over 350 huacayas and suris on the
property of all colours and to suit all budgets.
Our goal is to improve all the alpacas we own in
conformation, fleece and temperament and to help other breeders do likewise.
The Australian herd is made up animals of all qualities ranging from elite to
low quality - all of which need to be improved to ensure sufficient
numbers for the future breeding and fleece herds in Australia. To this end
we have sourced and bred males which will improve the quality of any female's
progeny at prices that represent excellent value for money. Our specific
interest falls in the natural colours of alpaca from white through to black.
Our Stud males are from the best stock in Australia and we are constantly
sourcing new and varied genetics.
We have a large range of alpacas and bloodlines for
sale and once established you can even place your animals with us for sale and
source your new ones through us. To compliment this we give full after
sales support and service and are only too willing to provide obligation free
advice. We will also help you with your breeding plans and give
advice on animal selection. We constantly give advice on property selection and
planning and offer buying and selling information, no matter whether you are
looking for a couple of young wethers as pets, the ever popular herd guards for
farmers, or breeding females and males. We run workshops on ongoing care
and maintenance of your animals, showing and the care of females before, during
and after birthing. We have videos and dvds on "how to" shear and trim toe
nails and teeth which we lend out, if you are unable to attend.
