Beniamino was imported by Jolimont Alpaca
Stud and was subsequently sold to EP Cambridge. We were lucky enough
to have him standing at stud at Rivergum Rise in 2004 and he subsequently
had 26 offspring born for us in 2005. We have been so impressed with
his progeny's conformation, fleece quality and temperament that we purchased
Beniamino at the 2006 National Alpaca Show and brought him back to our new
property in Corrigin, Western Australia where he is being put over a large
portion of our breeding females.
We have detailed the fleece statistics of
all Beniamino's Rivergum Rise progeny in the table below.

Rivergum Rise Dynasty (left) is one of the best Beniamino progeny we
have to date (click on the photo to enlarge it and have a look at Dynasty's
fleece type as a young cria).
Dynasty's fleece statistics:
1st fleece: 14.9u, 3.5sd, 23.5cv, 14.8sf,
100%cf
2nd fleece: 18.3u, 4.0sd, 22.0cv, 18.0sf, 99.7cf
This second fleece yielded a 1.5kg skirted
saddle of 18.3 micron fibre - the heaviest in our 2006 shearing of over 300
alpacas. Dynasty carries a very dense crimpy fleece with excellent
lustre.
Dynasty is now a certified male and has
just started working.
